The compact design has 1,122 square feet in its first and second floor areas, plus another 645 in a walk out lower level. Two bedroom suites upstairs and a potential bedroom on the lower level offer flexibility. Masonry piers bookend the floor plan, and the skylights between them filter light through three floors of living.
The miracle of this diminutive design is to offer a spacious living zone within its tight perimeter. Although the base model Guilford does not include an elevator, an enlarged option for the house would add that accessibility to all floors.
